We all had a great time at the Merton Strider Cup event on Sunday.
The stewards and the organisers were great. Event thought we did have to wait until midday before Andrés ride, as he is five years old. The day seems to go very well. And all the participants got on very well too.
We were all very surprised that Andrés got through to the final ride. Which was a (shoot out) between two young boys. On the home run Andrés fell, bringing him in second. But that hasn’t dampened his spark. And in his own words (I can’t wait to go to Manchester for the next ride). Hope to see you all there…..And thanks again.

We travelled all the way from Manchester to participate in the Merton Strider event on Sunday, and what a day it turned out to be. We absolute loved it, the organizing, the BMX track, the weather, The Ice-cream… You name it.
Exhausted we arrived back in Manchester at midnight, with the trophy and a smile. We can’t wait for the next event in Gosport. See you all there.

After months of anticipation, we thoroughly enjoyed the event at Merton. It was a great day out and such a wonderful opportunity for my bike-mad sons to race on a proper BMX track. Silas is thrilled to bits with his trophy and loved competing.
Helen Maxwell (May 2013)
I just wanted to say a big thank you to the Strider Cup team. Everyone was friendly, fun and helpful and there was a lovely family atmosphere.
Thanks so much to all the organisers. We are thrilled that he also won a place in the Final and look forward to seeing you all in Manchester again.

Another fantastic fun event and a great start to the Strider British Balance bike Championships. Ashton absolutely loves Strider racing and we are so proud of him.
Ady and Tina Heron (May 2013)
We thoroughly enjoyed our day at merton bmx track in mitcham. The weather held out for the kids which was great, as they got to enjoy the track to its absolute fullest.
Joseph was competing in the two year old’s group, and there was some great competition for Joseph.
Joseph had won his first race, and the second was a little neck and neck mid way through, but luckily Joseph pulled himself back into the lead; winning 1st place for the day.
We were all so excited for Joseph, as was he. He definitely soaked up the atmosphere and loved the presentation of trophies.
Joseph has always been a natural on bikes, so it’s great that this is a genuine interest of his and he seems to be doing well with it.
I’m so grateful that the strider cup exists, as its a great way for children to start out in competing in bmx. A good introduction as to what to expect if they want to pursue bmx, and building their confidence. Joseph really enjoyed competing at merton, and we look forward to competing next month.
The hard part is keeping him away
So fingers crossed, Joseph will carry on the rest of the season as successfully as he started.

Thank you for a great day! My daughter, Lois, absolutely loved her first racing experience. She was raring to go and enjoyed getting out on the track. A very well organised event. We are all looking forward to Gosport next month!

Hannah Robinson (May 2013)
This was Thomas’ first Strider Cup event and we all had an amazing day. Thomas was in his element! He’s never happier than when he’s on his Strider, and to come home with a trophy was the icing on the cake!
Thanks to all involved. See you in Gosport!
Rosie & Thomas (May 2013)

On behalf of my family, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for such a fab morning on Sunday just gone. My little boy was in the 3year old catergory.
I thought to myself while I was there in the blazing sunshine how funny it is that these mini competitors either start their race already face painted or go off after their races and get their faces painted. I bet there’s not many competitions where they have so much fun. Everytime my son went off the top slope at the beginning of the race he would shout ‘woo hoo’ and carry on around the bend. So cute!!
Thanks for such a fab opportunity.
We travelled all the way from Derby especially for this, stayed overnight in a Travelodge in Penge, because we will be abroad on holiday in August, when its the Birmingham date, so we can’t get.

We just wanted to drop you a quick note to congratulate you on the Strider World Cup event that was held in Manchester yesterday (Sunday 18th November).
It was the first time our 3 year old son, Lewis, had entered and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience, so much so that he is wearing is medal even today! My wife and my 7 year old daughter watched from the gallery with both sets of grandparents and all thought it was an excellent event, particularly considering the low entrance fee.
We will definitely be going back to the Cycling Centre and will be at more Strider events next year.
Many thanks and well done,
Julian & Cassie Barnes (United Kingdom)
I would just like to thank you for a wonderful day, I entered my 2 year old granddaughter and 3 year old grandson, they had never ridden a Strider bike before, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. What a fantastic well organised event and extremely good value for money, hopefully we can start attending some of your practice sessions. Well done to all the organisers and helpers, I know you put a smile on a lot of kids (and adults) faces x
